Melissa is a Red Bull (sugar-free) addict, wannabe-ninja, novelist and a poet. She holds a B.A. in English/Creative Writing and a M.A. in Corporate Communication from Austin Peay State University. She lives in Nashville and is currently seeking literary representation.
Melissa has published poems in the Red Mud Review, Words + Images and Number One. She's also published articles in Our City and the All-State as well as pictures, columns and articles in The Leaf-Chronicle.
As a member of the Nashville Poetry Workshop, Melissa is constantly trying to commune with other writers! She's currently working on several new poems, editing old poems and hopes to have a chapbook ready in early 2012.
Melissa is currently working on a book called Demon in Me. (Think Constantine meets Buffy.) Keep checking the blog regularly for excerpts! Her first novel, Bleed You Dry, is available electronically through Nook, Kindle and Smashwords.
